The first time I came across the Flying Dress Experience I knew I needed to share it with every woman I met. The photography I saw (from my Flying Dress Collective team in Hawaii), drew me in immediately; "These women look SO empowered!" And, they were! I believe every woman should feel this way about themselves, every day and for every occasion - from celebrating a 50th birthday, to signing divorce papers, to creating awesome memories with your bridesmaids to no occasion at all! Can I buy a Hi Flying Dress?
Yes, you can! Own the magic by purchasing your very own Flying Dress [here]. We only release a limited number of dresses each year, so if you fall in love with one, snatch it up before it’s gone! We sell both brand-new and gently loved pieces.
Are your dresses really that long? It’s not Photoshop?
It is 100% real magic! Our dresses are custom-engineered with exceptionally long, flowing trains to give you that grand, dramatic look in real life. Fun fact: Most of those Santorini flying dress companies actually photoshop their trains in post-production. With us, what you see is what you get!
Do the dresses actually fly on their own?
Yes and no! They don’t quite have wings of their own—they need a little help from nature or movement. Think wind, running, flipping, or a fabulous toss to get that fabric airborne. Because each dress is crafted from tens of yards of premium fabric and weighs about 5 pounds, it takes a little bit of playful persistence and motion to capture that perfect, gravity-defying shot! We have assistants (included in the cost) to help with getting the perfect flight!
What sizes do you offer?
We proudly celebrate every body! Our inclusive sizing features two adjustable options: size 00 – 18 and size (20 – 32). Because of the smart, highly adjustable design, hips and booties don’t matter here—simply choose your size based on your bust and waist measurements for a flawless, tailored fit.
What colors do they come in?
The question isn’t “what colors do we have” – it’s “what colors DON’T we have!” We are constantly dropping gorgeous new shades into our collection. To see what’s currently in bloom, check out our lookbook here.
How are the dresses cleaned?
With love and meticulous care! We deeply clean and hand-press every single dress after every single adventure. Keeping them pristine from the natural elements ensures they stay beautiful and fly flawlessly.
For Renters: Relax! You are never responsible for cleaning the dress.
For Buyers: We will gladly send you home with specific care and cleaning instructions to keep your investment stunning.
Photoshoot Day: What to Expect
What should I bring with me?
We highly suggest wearing a nude pair of undies and pasties. Traditional bras don’t pair well with the low-cut and open designs, but don’t worry—the fabric is beautifully supportive and stretchy enough to keep everything secure. If you absolutely prefer a bra, just ask your photographer to work their magic and edit out the straps later!
Do I need to wear heels?
Most of our clients actually choose to go barefoot for safety and ease, but it’s always a great idea to toss a pair of heels into your bag just in case you want that extra height or editorial edge!
Where do I change into the dress?
Wear something cozy and easy to slip off. We recommend stepping into the dress right over your regular clothes, and then sliding your clothes off underneath it. Voila—the dress acts as your own personal, private changing tent! However, we also have a handy pop-up tent for changing in and out of easily (and privately) – we’ve got you… covered!
What should I do for hair and makeup?
Our clients usually have the best success doing their own hair and makeup! We suggest turning the volume up just a notch higher than your everyday look—think a fabulous date-night vibe. A bright, bold lipstick looks incredible on camera! But if makeup isn’t your thing, don’t sweat it. The Flying Dress is designed to let you shine exactly as you are. Rentals & Shipping
How do you ship the dresses?
We trust USPS and UPS to get your dress to you safely and swiftly.
Is shipping included in the rental fee?
Yes, it is! Round-trip shipping within the USA is entirely included in your fee. We provide the shipping bags and a prepaid return label to make the process completely effortless for you. Heading abroad? Contact us for international shipping rates!
Can I take the dress hiking?
Heck yes! We highly recommend packing the dress into a backpack for the trail, and then changing once you reach your breathtaking destination.
What happens if I damage the dress?
We know accidents can happen, but to dive into the official legal details, please review our rental contract page [here]. You will also receive a PDF copy to review before your rental goes out. Please note that agreeing to our contract is required to complete your rental.
Investment
How much does it cost?
USA Dress Rentals: Most clients only need the dress for a day or two, but if your project requires a bit more time, just reach out! We love accommodating special requests whenever we can. Our luxury solid color dresses are $165, while our sequin and mettalic dresses are $265. Both are absolutely stunning – it’s truly up to which you choose for your photoshoot!
The Napa Flying Dress Photoshoot Experience
Starting at $400, this ultimate experience includes a dedicated professional photographer and an assistant, and travel to and from the agreed upon location – whether it be a Napa vineyard or on the Sonoma Coast – we travel (up to 50 miles before additional travel costs are incurred).

Payments, Cancellations, & Fine Print
What are the payment terms?
To lock in your dates, all rental dresses require full payment at the time of booking. For dress purchases (both brand-new and sample pieces), all sales are final with no returns or exchanges.
Do you have a guarantee?
We pour our hearts into making sure your experience with us is nothing short of magical. If you ever have a question, a hiccup, or just want to share feedback, drop us an email—we are here to help!
What happens if a dress is ruined or lost?
We totally understand that normal wear and tear happens on location, and you won’t be penalized for minor mishaps. However, for severe damage or a total loss, fees will apply. If a dress is not returned, a $500 replacement fee is automatically charged.
Pro-Tip: Always ask for a physical receipt when you drop your package off at USPS or UPS. This is your proof of insurance! If a package is lost in transit by the carrier, that receipt protects you from the replacement fee.
What payment types do you accept?
We accept Venmo, Zelle, Paypal, bank transfer and credit cards (a 3.5% transaction fee will be added for credit card transactions). We also have 3 and 6 month payment plans too with zero interest rates – making the Flying Dress Experience photoshoot affordable for everyone!
